Effective October 5, 2026
Why is KEMI changing how payments are processed?
We're moving to a new payment platform, One Inc, to improve the payment experience.
Do I need to do anything before October 5?
No. This is a behind-the-scenes update. No action is required on your part.
Does anything change about how I submit a payment for a policyholder?
No. You'll continue making payments on behalf of policyholders exactly as you do today. The only difference is that the payment will now be processed through One Inc, so you may notice a different look on the payment screen starting October 5.
Is payment information safe with the new platform?
Yes. One Inc is a secure, modern payment platform, and only limited details (such as the last few digits of a card or account) are ever visible on screen.
Is there a fee to submit a payment?
Card payments include a 2.99% service fee, charged by One Inc, our payment processor, not by KEMI. There is no fee for payments made from a checking account.
Can a policyholder pay by phone?
Yes. Policyholders can pay by phone anytime on or after October 5 using One Inc's automated payment system at 1-888-639-2117. The same payment methods are available, and the same 2.99% card fee applies to card payments.
Can I save payment information on behalf of a policyholder?
Not at this time. You'll continue entering bank account or credit card details each time you submit a payment for a policyholder.
A policyholder asked me about saving their payment info or setting up automatic payments. What do I tell them?
Let them know that's coming. In the months ahead, KEMI will introduce the option for a policyholder's designated account admin to save payment information and set up automatic payments, with full instructions provided before those features go live. There's nothing for them to do right now.
Who do I contact if I run into a problem submitting a payment or have questions?
Contact us at policy@kemi.com or call 1-800-640-KEMI (5364) and we'll be happy to help.
